The facility has four floors with numerous educational and fun exhibits. These include the Cinedome where 3D movies are played, Nature Works which offers a look at ecosystems in Central Florida, and Kids Town.
Planetarium Shows

For older children, the Crosby Observatory is home to Florida’s largest publicly available refractor telescope and is open for solar observation on Friday and Saturday nights and during special events (call ahead to confirm hours). Laserlight shows like “Otronicon LIVE!” are rhythmic adventures that will leave guests dazzled and energized.

The Crosby Observatory features Florida’s largest public refractor telescope. Join in a session of SunWatch or StarWatch for an eye-opening view of the planets and solar system. Take part in hands-on activities on the 3rd floor of The Hive, a collaborative maker space that cultivates creativity and emphasizes learning opportunities in every failure and success. DinoDigs exhibit allows visitors to become paleontologists and uncover fossil replicas of dinosaurs and prehistoric sea creatures. A great place to also visit is Sanlando Park.
Laser Light Shows
The Orlando Science Center is a non-profit organization that has one primary goal: To provide visitors with experience-based opportunities to learn about science and technology. It offers a variety of different exhibits in its various galleries, each aimed at specific age groups.
The Science Center also boasts two theaters that screen a mix of educational and Hollywood films. The 3D films in the Digital Adventure Theater transport audiences to a variety of captivating realms, from exotic wildlife to far-off galaxies.
The Summer Laser Light Shows at the Orlando Science Center are a rock ‘n’ roll experience like no other. Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, and U2 are a few of the iconic artists that are featured in this unique visual treat with custom laser imagery. The shows are part of the center’s extended hours on Friday and Saturday nights until 9 p.m. The center’s astronomical Crosby Observatory is also open during these nights for late-night stargazing.
“Otronicon LIVE!”
The interactive exhibition “Otronicon LIVE!” is a must-see for gaming enthusiasts and technology lovers. The event showcases the latest advancements in video game technologies and allows visitors to try out state-of-the-art virtual reality and augmented reality experiences.
